National Park Visitor Experience
Education and interpretation - two vital ways that National Parks fulfill their mandate to the American people. Responding to an invitation from Yellowstone National Park and the Yellowstone Park Foundation, Unilever presented the inaugural $1.45 million grant for a new Visitor Education Center at Old Faithful Geyser. The new center will ensure that the park and its amazing collection of geo-thermal features, landscape, wildlife and history remain vital and relevant to more than three million visitors each year. Unilever is also the first and lead sponsor of Yellowstone's Trails Forever Fund Initiative.
The Harry Yount National Park Ranger Award is presented annually by the National Park Service to a ranger selected by their peers as representing the "hallmark" of Rangering. Recognizing Harry Yount, the first National Park Ranger, the award is meant to inspire future leaders and stewards of America's National Parks.
Unilever is proud to underwrite the Harry Yount Award and to support internship programs engaging high school, college and graduate students in the National Park experience, helping to build the next generation of stewards and rangers.
